About Vision Theory

Vision Theory (formerly Dr. Crowe's office) has been serving Morgan Hill and its surrounding communities since 1977.

Vision Theory is a full scope optometry, providing exams and visual solution for people of all ages and walks of life. We understand that seeing your best is more than being able to read letters on an eye chart. Human vision can be impacted by many other factors, including lifestyle, developmental issues, health issues of the body, medications, and eye disease. Common eye conditions that may affect one's vision include dry eye, ocular allergies, amblyopia, eye turns, glaucoma, red painful eyes, cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, diabetes, and other retinal disease. Our doctor is well versed in diagnosing and managing eye-related conditions.

We also enjoy educating our patients about their eyes to empower them to make the best decisions, maximize their vision and eye health through all the stages of life. At Vision Theory, we are deeply committed to serving the community.

Dr. Katherine Makayed, O.D.

Dr. Makayed has been providing care to patients as an associate optometrist in Gilroy, Morgan Hill, and South San Jose areas for the past 5 years. Dr. Makayed earned her doctorate of optometry at UC Berkeley School of Optometry and is practicing the full scope of optometry, including the use of pharmaceutical agents, glaucoma management, surgical co-management, and specialty contact lens fitting.

Yvette Uribe

Optician, Office Manager

Yvette has worked in the field of optometry for the last 8 years; 7 of those years she had the honor of working with Dr. Crowe. She takes pride in continuing to help patients with all of their eye care needs, whether it's for eye health or selecting the best glasses or contacts as the Vision Theory's optician. Yvette has two daughters and enjoys travel softball, going to the movies, and parks. She is a Bay Area native and is committed to serving the community. She is looking forward to seeing you.
